Audiences angry at Aardman for making fun of Leprosy

You wouldn't think that an animated film would make fun of something as serious as leprosy disease. Will if you've seen the trailer for Aardman's The Pirates! then you'll see a pretty funny scene were Pirate Captain (voiced by Hugh Grant) lands on a ship and demands gold, only to be told, “Afraid we don’t have any gold old man, this is a leper boat. See?” as a crew member’s arm falls off. Leprosy organizations complained that the scene could aggravate the discrimination and stigma experienced by sufferers of the disease, and Aardman responded by agreeing to change the scene in question.
“After reviewing the matter, we decided to change the scene out of respect and sensitivity for those who suffer from leprosy. The last thing anyone intended was to offend anyone and it is clear to us that the right way to proceed is to honor the efforts made by organizations like ILEP to educate the public about this disease,” the studio said in a statement.
In reference to Aardman’s move, Lepra Health in Action said it was “genuinely delighted that Aardman has decided to amend the film” and commended Aardman for its sensitivity.
Its nice to see Aardman be the bigger man and change the scene. I wouldn't, I mean I have an idea for an animated movie that is about the point of view of the horse in a western, in a scene the horses owner which is an outlaw shoots the horse. So I'm probably gonna get sued for animal crudity.

Javier Bardem quits "Despicable Me 2"

I last posted about Javier Bardem's first animated role in October, that he was hired to do the voice of the villain for the instant classic Despicable Me sequel. Now a slight change in plans has happened.
The reason why he left was not clear (not because of his voice) so there is no telling why he signed off. But now that hes gone who will the new bad guy named "El Macho" be? I hope its George Lopez that voices, hes my favorite Mexican.
Then time is running out for Illumination since the film is scheduled to be due on July 3, 2013. I hope Victor comes back because Jason Segal is awesome.

P.J. Hogan to direct "Bone" and Animal Logic to animate

I last published a post on the new Bone film in the summer. Now there is a new director.
Australian director P.J. Hogan will direct. He directed Muriel’s Wedding, My Best Friend’s Wedding, and the 2003 version of Peter Pan. And show Greek creator Patrick Sean Smith will write the script. I haven't seen any of those things so I really don't know if this will be good.
Two films are in the works and there is still no talks if Bone author and illustrator Jeff Smith (also my idol) will be working on a script. But until then it will be shot in Australia (I would of thought that they would shoot in Oregon since most good films were shot there like The Goonies, and since in the comics of Bone it snows and rains and has beautiful creatures and beautiful sites witch is what Oregon is, and like the book Oregon has some strange people, to see what I'm talking about check out Portlandia on IFC because 1: its in Oegon and 2: Fred Armisen is in it).
The Happy Feet movies and Owls of Ga'hool animation studio will animate. But they do allot of fur and animal stuff I don't know how there gonna make these cartoony creatures. Since I always thought of Jeff Smith's cartooning like a mix of Walt Disney cartoons with Walt Kelley art in a Harry Potter world.
I really hope that they don't ruin Bone. I still read them and as I know that my friends have grown tired of these comics I still found them to be in my heart, which is what animation does.

New episode of "Angry Birds" seasons short

Well the new levels for Angry Birds Seasons is about a Chinese festival and hears an amazing looking animated short. Hear it is.

Progressive ad featuring "Sonic"

This is by far the best ad I've seen (next to the KIA rat dudes shuffling to Party Rock). The ad features Mario's competitor Sonic. Also makes the lovable Flo into an animated character.

"Tintin" wins Golden Globe

The Golden Globes to me is like a sneek peek at whats coming for the Oscars. Well I saw the Golden Globes and it was the worst one I've seen. I mean none of the people I wanted to win won except for Sofia Vergara and Modern Family. I mean 50/50 was amazing in every way possible. And so was Bridesmaids. Especially with War Horse. But noooo, movies that I never even heard of won like The Artis or whatever.
But still Tintin won. I didn't really care which film won I saw all of them and they were great, I just didn't want Cars 2 to win. Why Cars 2? Why not Winnie the Pooh or Kung Fu Panda even Rio would of been good. The winner announcements above.
Also in awards is The Peoples Choice Awards (doesn't really count) for favorite voice winner is Johnny Depp in Rango. Next to Ann Hathaway, Jack Black, Katy Perry, and Owen Wison.

New "Frankenweenie" image

This kinda looks good. It shows the heartend side of this horror emotional black and white animated film that only Tim Burton can do. Image above.

New voice actors for "Madagascar 3", more about "Tintin 2 and 3", and talks for a "Puss in Boots 2"

Well as you can see by the title above that this post is on sequels. So lets start off with the future fail Madagascar 3.
Entertainment Weekly has announced the new voice members of the sequel is. And these actors are super busy. “Most ubiquitous star” name fighters are Jessica Chastain and Bryan Cranston are being voiced in the film. Other member is Martin Short. They will play circus animals. Co-director Eric Darnell describes Cranston’s character, a Russian-accented Siberian tiger named Vitaly, as “this very conservative tough guy who doesn’t like any change or any outsiders coming into his world,” while Short’s Stefano the sea lion will be “this hilarious comic character — he’s always bubbling with excitement and enthusiasm and is up for anything.” Meanwhile, Chastain will voice Gia the jaguar, who’s “a little more thoughtful, and she’s beautiful” and serves as “a moral compass for the circus.” Chastain and Short trained with a voice coach to gain convincing Italian accents. The image of the group above.
Now more about the next two Tintin's.  Steven Spielberg says this-
I’m not going to say which stories have been chosen for Peter Jackson’s sequel because Peter and I agreed that we weren’t going to let that information out yet. The script is now being written. It’s more than one book, but it’s not three books, so that means it’s two books. It’s two and a half books that we’re combining with The Secret of the Unicorn. And Peter will start working on the film this year. When he’s done shooting The Hobbit, he’ll begin his performance capture work with the actors later in 2012, which I’m very excited about. And of course, I’m hoping I’ll be able to direct the third one. I’d love to do the third one because I had so much fun on the first one.
So it could be The Calculus Affair for the second film.
Now about the next Puss in Boots. As Antonio Banderas says “I don’t know what is going to happen but I hope we have a continuation of the character,” then he said ”I would love to, obviously. This is a character that I’ve [been playing] for ten years. I think we can still squeeze him a little bit more,” I would love a second Puss in Boots.

Exhibitors angry that "Beauty and the Beast 3-D" is already in stores

Just like when The Lion King 3-D came out in theaters, the DVD release came out only a few weeks after. But since Disney released Beauty and the Beast 3-D before the theatrical release, exhibitors are angry at Disney for making that move.
Hears what Deadline had to say-
Rival studios tell me that exhibitors are quietly furious that Disney has begun selling the Beauty And The Beast 3D Blu-Ray DVD at Target and Walmart and other retailers without fanfare at the same time the film goes into theaters today.
The DVD was also on sale since October 2011. Hears what Disney had to say-
We’ve talked to all of our partners in exhibition about this and have made no secret about the Beauty And The Beast 3D Blu-Ray DVD being available. In fact there are multiple exhibition partners that are tying promotions into the 3D Blu-ray being available, like AMC and Regal.
But I don't care I still have the original DVD version of Beauty and the Beast so I don't care.

"Beauty and the Beast 3-D" opens up at #2

Well the box office are in ans as you can see Beauty and the Beast got a nice spot on the charts as it got to hold #2.
At #1 is Contraband (46% rotten, okay), at #2 is Beauty and the Beast 3-D (91% fresh, awesome), and at #3 is Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (93% fresh, awesome). Alvin and the Chipmunks are holding on at #8. Tintin is already out of the box office and it just barley came out. And I just saw it and it was truly amazing. It even won the Golden Globe.

"Beauty and the Beast 3-D" review: "See in theaters"

I haven't seen Beauty and the Beast since I was five probably and will in 3-D seems like the next step. This is probably better then The Lion King 3-D.
Beautiful animation that only Disney can do. Great story, probably the best romantic comedy in history. Amazing 3-D affects. But we'll have to see how Finding Nemo 3-D does.
So go see in theaters, remember history.

"Allen Gregory" canceled with new Animation Domination Fox block

Will now I know why Allen Gregory had such a short first season. The show got canceled last week leaving Jonah Hill's show a bust. I actually liked Allen Gregory, it was nominated on my A-wards (no one even voted, come on people I have no life but I do have feelings).
With Allen Gregory canceled Fox has made a new block featuring the Animation Domination shows, kinda like Cartoon Network with Adult Swim. So we'll be seeing some more Family Guy and Simpsons, also with Napoleoan Dynamite (review coming soon). It will start from 11 pm to 12:30 am on Saturdays. And in January 13th, Fox will feature four new animated shows. Adult Swim producers Nick Weidenfeld, and Hend Baghdady will produce the time block.

"Ultimate Spider-Man" to premiere April 1st, with new Marval block on Disney XD

I wasn't really a fan of those super hero shows growing up, mainly since I stopped watching Dora tell I was nine. I did like The Spectacular Spider-Man but it got canceled and the creator went to work on Young Justice on Cartoon Network. But now theirs a new Spider-Man in town with a new special place for all things Marval, on Disney XD.
The new Spider-Man show will premiere on April 1st. It will have the voice of Drake off of Drake and Josh, Drake Bell and Spider-Man creator Stan Lee will be in it too. Also will there be special times for like The Avengers: Earths Mightiness Heroes and all that

"Finding Nemo 3-D" teaser trailer

Don't get me wrong, I love Finding Nemo but in 3-D? Theirs gotta be a stop to this. I mean with The Lion King and the upcoming Beauty and the Beast.
The trailer is above, and kinda looks good.

"Frozen" to be CG rather than hand drawn

I was really excited for a new hand drawn thing from Disney when I saw the new Winnie the Pooh, but now Disney wants to act all cool and make it CG. But hey, Tangled was an instant classic, since it was Disney's first CG fairy tale. Also it was announced that it will be in 3-D (of course it is).
So theirs what that is. But really I want to see some more hand drawn stuff, I mean I saw half of the new Mexican version of Top Cat and it was just amazing. It had the best toon looking animation I've seen. And even better that its from the studio that made the adaption of my favorite El Chavo into an animated series (some cool Mexican cartoon I watch when I go to Mexico).

"Tintin" movie with "Tintin" cartoon mash up

I love mash up trailers especially the True Grit and Toy Story mash ups. This one features the new movie and the lovable cartoon version of Tintin.

New "Brave" image

USA Today released allot of new images for movies in 2012. So we are gonna look at the one from Brave.
Man, I think this image shows the hearten side of the film. And I just love any picture that shows that beautiful red hair. Imagine animating that. So there it is it looks amazing.

First "Tangled Ever After" clip

If you want to go down memory lane or want to introduce Beauty and Beast to your kids then you can catch it in 3-D opening out in Friday. But introducing it is a short sequel to my favorite Tangled.
The clip kind a reminds me of Lord of the Rings. And speaking of sequels Warner Bros. will make a second Horrible Bosses, don't get me wrong Horrible Bosses is one of the best films I've seen in 2011, but this will probably be a fail like The Hangover Part 2. I mean now what, are they gonna try kill more bosses? Also there is talks for a second Bridesmaids, and that also was the funniest movie I've seen with Horrible Bosses. Well I love Kristen Wiig (especially on Saturday Night Live) but if shes not gonna be in the sequel then I don't want to see it. So yeah Wiig isn't gonna be in the sequel because she thought that it never really needed a sequel, so now the funniest chick in the movie Melissa McCarty will now star in it her own. I hope Wiig is in it.
