"Puss in Boots" is legendary
Puss in Boots is almost hear and he will be legendary. This is the coolest video I've seen even for Puss. As Dreamworks takes the classic commercials of Caption Morgan with a little twist. Hahaha!!! Check out the video, oh and "Stay furry my friends".

LAIKA to make novel "Wildwood"
The studio that brought you Coraline and releasing next year ParaNorman will now make Colin Meloy, singer for The Decemberists, and his wife Carson Ellis's young adult novel Wildwood in to a film. The book is about “Prue McKneel, a young lady who must confront a world filled with magic and danger after her younger brother is kidnapped, forcing her to enter the Impassable Wilderness" The book is based on Portland OR. Which is good because I live in Oregon and its rare to hear Oregon in a film.
CEO Travis Knight said a bout the film-
CEO Travis Knight said a bout the film-
It’s a story in the grand tradition of Tolkien, as big as ‘Lord of the Rings’ with a wonderful contemporary quality as well. Nothing of its kind has been attempted in our medium. You have these epic scenes alongside very nuanced character moments, which are the two hardest things to do in stop-motion. It’s exciting to imagine how this might all come together.Lets see how this turns out.

"Rango" gets award
H'wood Film Fest is gonna give the award of animation to the best film this year Rango. Kudo, announced Tuesday, will presented at the festival's awards ceremony on Oct. 24 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
This is awesome. And all those awards went to Pixar films. Such as "Cars," "Ratatouille," "Toy Story 3," "Up," and "Wall-E." Finally not Pixar.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson's record
Kung Fu Panda 2 grossed out almost $650 million globally. This making director of the film, Jennifer Yuh Nelson the highest grossing female director of all time. This is amazing. To have the highest grossing female director to be a director of an animated film. Both her and Dreamworks should be proud.

New "Toy Story" short and date of "La Luna"
Everyone loved the new Toy Story short that appeared in front of Cars 2. Now the new short of the toys will appear in front of The Muppets. The new short will be called Small Fry. It will be about how Buzz accidentally gets replaced by a 3-inced Buzz from a Happy Meal, while Woody goes off to find the real Buzz. Jane Lynch will lend a voice for the short.
Also the other short which I'm dying to see will appear in front of next years Brave.

"Planes" cast
"The world above Cars" as said in the trailer of Disneytoon's new DVD film Planes. Now the cast has more and more voices to the film. Jon Cryer famous as Alan from Two and a Half Man will be the lead voice of the character Dusty. Also will he join Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) in the film.
This film just looks bad.

Studio Ghibli announces 2 new films
The studio that brought you Ponyo and Kiki's Delivery will release two new films for this year and the next.
The first film will be on Arrietty witch is based on Mary Norton’s classic children’s series The Borrowers. Set to be released this year for February 27 in the U.S.
The second film will be called Taketori Monogatari (in English, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter). The story revolves around Princess Kaguya, who was discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant by an old bamboo cutter. Takahata’s been working on the film for a couple of years already.
I love this anime studio. Its like the Pixar of Asia.

I posted about Pixar having planed two new animated films. Now the studio has the synopses.
The first film will be about the long rumored dinosaur film that will be directed by Bob Peterson who was the co-director/writer of Up. Peter Sohn will co-direct the film, which directed Partly Cloudy, the short film paired with Up. John Walker will produce the film also produced The Incredibles. Now hears the synopses-
Man Pixar is going over the top. These movies sound amazing.

What if that life-changing asteroid missed Earth? Director Bob Peterson’s hilarious tale depicts a world where dinosaurs never went extinct. The second film will be about the human mind. I don't know how there going to do this one but all well. The film will be directed by Up directer Pete Docter. The movie is described as he says- "An inventive new film that explores a world that everyone knows, but no one has seen: inside the human mind".

New "Monsters University" images
There was a huge week for me and other Pixar fans when they heard of the two mystery film now about dinosaurs and about the human mind. Then theirs more news on Brave and now Monsters University.
Anyway the charters in the film are 18 and as John Lasseter said- "An animated college movie". And Mike and Sully are gonna be 18, so here's the characters.
Here's Mike. Mike is shorter, freckled, has smaller horns and is sporting a retainer. (Above)
Whereas, Sulley is thinner, hairier and shaggier. (Below)
These look amazing.

Disney secretly released "Beauty and the Beast 3-D"
A few weeks ago I posted about the re-release of the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast, but I never said anything about the the date. Allot of people were shocked to see that El Capitan theater released the film. Also with The Lion King 3-D which was a huge success.
The film will be from the 2nd to the 25th of September. And on DVD October bought Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. Too bad I don't have a 3-D t.v.

New "Toy Story" toys
Pixar and Habbro have a lot of toys together, but now they're taking the characters of Toy Story to the world of Buzz Lightyear as they make a franchise called Toy Story: Space Mission.
Habbro made a trailer with beautiful stop motion. Hears some facts about the trailer-
Habbro made a trailer with beautiful stop motion. Hears some facts about the trailer-
- It took a crew of 8 people over more than 1300 hours and a span of 4 weeks to complete the toymation
- Every second needed 12 frames of pictures
- Every shot needed at least 3 takes, many of which had to be done separately with each toy and then composited together later
- Each toy had to be taken apart and reassembled with wire and
museum putty in order to be rigged properly to animate - The dust bunnies were created from an old carpet the team almost threw out right before production on the toymation project began
- The crew made 5 trips to the supermarket to clear out their asparagus, big broccoli heads, and artichokes to build the vegetable forest set
