"Clerks: The Animated Series" could return in 2013

Clerks: The Animated Series might be edging towards a return in 2013. The series was a very short network primetime show, which many agree was ahead of its time. The series did the same style totally random-funny pop culture-filled jokes that were credited for Family Guy‘s later success. I highly recommend any one who hasn’t seen the show to go check it out, especially if you liked shows like Clone High or Family Guy.
While the series was born out of Kevin Smith’s 1994 independent film Clerks, the series was a lot more broad and expansive in scope.

Only two episodes were aired by ABC in 2000 before the show was canceled. The six-produced episodes were released on DVD and became a cult hit. Enough so that Harvey Weinstein wanted to produce an animated direct-to-video film titled Clerks: Sell Out based on the series. The movie was to have involved Dante and Randal making a movie about their lives at the Quick Stop.
But when Weinstein left Miramax, the rights to the Clerks Animated characters was left in the hands of the Disney Corporation, which had no interest in pursuing any future projects based on the property. However, Miramax was sold in 2011, allowing for a return.
Kevin Smith announced on Twitter yesterday that “Miramax 2.0 and I are hoping to give you new eps weekly next year.” So we might see new episodes of Clerks: The Animated Series in 2013 — but in what form? On Television? On Home Video? Or more likely — distributed digitally (Netflix, web, hulu…etc).
But to be honest I never even thought there was a Clerks cartoon.

Brad Bird finally discussing "Incredables 2" and "Madagascar 3" to premiere at Cannes

It took Pixar four years to follow up Toy Story with Toy Story 2, and another eleven to get around to releasing Toy Story 3, but that unhurried pace worked out just fine for the studio. The two sequels are every bit as beloved as the original was, and that success has everything to do with the fact that Pixar waited for the right story to come along, rather than simply cobbling together sequel after sequel to maximize their profits. Unlike Cars.
Now Brad Bird is taking a similar approach with The Incredibles, which opened in 2004 and has had fans begging for a sequel ever since. “I would not say no to [The Incredibles 2], because I really love that world and I love those characters,” he told IFC. But he doesn’t want to move on it until he’s got a plan in place, hears what he said-
I really love those characters and if I can figure out a whole story to do I would do it. But one of the advantages that we had in the original ‘Incredibles’ was that several of the characters had never really got to flex their muscles before. They were repressed, and it was about them discovering their own abilities… Any sequel to it, that particular thing — which is really a wonderful thing to be able to explore in a movie — that’s sort of gone. And so you have to find something that is equally interesting to do in a sequel.
See this is why I like Pixar they not only make movies but they actually take there time creating a beautiful story that grows into our hearts.
       Now going on to Dreamworks-
Having previously premiered Shrek, Shrek 2, Over the Hedge, and Kung Fu Panda at Cannes, DreamWorks will head back to the Croisette this year to debut Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted. The animated comedy sequel is only the second title announced so far from this year’s lineup, following Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. Madagascar 3 may seem on the surface like it’d be out of place at a prestigious European film festival, but then again, it does boast a script by Noah Baumbach. Cannes runs May 16-27 this year; Madagascar 3‘s theatrical release will hit June 8.
I still don't have good good thoughts on this movie.

Universal to retry to adapt "The Cat in the Hat" but this time with CG animation

I don't think that any one remembers the Mike Myers stared live-action adaption about the classic story by the most read author Dr. Seuss. It was a critical disappointment that made Audrey Stone Geisel declare that she’d never let Hollywood make a live-action adaptation of her late husband’s work again. Will I wouldn't either after that movie and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the live-action one not the classic animated one). Since Blu Sky's Dr. Seuss adapted film Horton Hears a Who, it is still the most well critiqued film based on a book by the author, The Lorax is still the most dominated Seuss film at box-office beating John Carter and being the most highest grossing film in the list.
Well now it looks like Illumination Entertainment is the home of Seuss film. Thats good because I do not want an other live-action adaption of these classic books.
It's good to make a better Cat in the Hat since he's like basically the mascot of the Seuss books. Also will Illumination animate the Seuss characters in the live-action/animated biopic starring and produced by Johnny Depp.

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" sequel has a name and release date

Since I heard that the original directors of the first film aren't in this then I got depressed 1. because I'm 13 and I have a blog and 2. there not in it.
Well the animators of the first one will work on it now since the sequel is called Cloudy 2: Revenge of the Leftovers.
The release date will be on December 20th 2013. I just wanna see this because the Horrible Bosses writers will write.

First "real" images for "Hotel Transylvania"

This is a huge comeback to the long disappeared Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartovsky. Now he'll be making a Halloween themed film at Sony, with basically the same cast of Grown Ups.
    These are new images-

In the first image from left to right, that’s Dracula’s daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez), the werewolves Wayne and Wanda (Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon), Murray the Mummy (Cee Lo Green), Dracula (Adam Sandler), and Frank (Kevin James)… and those flouting glasses is Griffin the Invisible Man (David Spade). The second photo shows Dracula and Johnnystein, Mavis’ human suitor voiced by Andy Samberg.
    This actually looks good.

"Bob's Burgers" season 2 review: "Weird"

I've seen the TV spots for this and they just look weird.
The animation kinda looks like something from the Rugrats and The Simpsons, or Hey Arnold! I'm not really a fan of these Animation Domination I only like Napoleon Dynamite but its over now.
So I don't know if you want to see it then see it.

"Napoleon Dynamite" season 1 finale review: "Too short"

The season finale of Napoleon Dynamite happened last Sunday, and it was amazing. But it was too short though. I mean we didn't get any details on what happened to Kip's wife and all that. But since Allen Gregory got cancelled there needed to be some time left between those 30 minutes.
Around the FFA is what the episode is about. And we got to see the turning point of the friendship between Napoleon and Pedro. By the way my room kinda looks like Pedro's room. We also got to go and see Uncle Rico's point of view between him and his van. The animation in this is amazing and the humor is hilarious.
Anyway see it its "freakin' sweet".

"Brave" Japanese Trailer: I would rather go see this in Japan

This trailer looks like a Studio Ghibli film. It shows more to the epic story. It looks beautiful.

"Ice Age: Continental Drift" Trailer: When will Scrat get the acorn?

I first saw this trailer in The Lorax. It was a treat for the kids but for me it was just cheesy. Hears the plot description-

Scrat’s nutty pursuit of the cursed acorn, which he’s been after since the dawn of time, has world-changing consequences – a continental cataclysm that triggers the greatest adventure of all for Manny, Diego and Sid. In the wake of these upheavals, Sid reunites with his cantankerous Granny, and the herd encounters a ragtag menagerie of seafaring pirates determined to stop them from returning home.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller offer new detailes to there Lego movie

When news first broke that Warner Bros. was developing a Lego film, we groaned at the thought of yet another film based on a beloved childhood property (see also: G.I. Joe, Transformers, Battleship, etc.). But then Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller boarded the project, and the idea of a Lego movie suddenly got much more interesting — especially when Robot Chicken‘s Chris McKay signed on to co-direct as well.
During this weekend’s press junket for their new film (I wanna see) 21 Jump Street, Lord and Miller offered a few more details on what we could expect from the Lego movie, including a potential title, the status of the film, it’s look, its tone, and even a tiny hint about its plot.
Hears what they said as an all Lego universe “to the point where if there’s water or clouds or like a big explosion, that will be made out of animated Legos,” and that the tone could be described as “like if Michael Bay kidnapped Henry Selick to make a movie for him.”
“It involves many worlds. Basically, the least qualified Lego characters in the universe having to keep the world from being frozen together.” (says the duo) I’m not sure what “frozen together” means, exactly, but at the most basic level, it sounds like a plot about the Lego equivalent of unlikely underdog heroes stepping up to save the world. According to Miller, the film is currently titled Lego: The Piece of Resistance.
I'm not sure if it will be CG or stop-motion but actually sounds good and I have never had fun with Legos.

Kristen Bell to star in "Frozen"

I've posted about the long in development Frozen. Now everything is coming together. Now Kristen Bell is set to play the lead role as the ice queen.
Frozen will be based on Hans Christian Andersen‘s 19th century fairy tale, which centers around two friends, a little boy and a little girl. When the boy is kidnapped by the Snow Queen, the little girl ventures out to find and save him. It’s not clear at this point which character Bell is set to play. THR describes her character as the “lead,” which suggests she’ll be voicing the Queen, but it’s also conceivable that the girl could be the central character in Disney’s take on the story.
I don't know if this is the right choice. But she does have voice experience from the FX show Unsupervised.
Bell will provide both the speaking and singing voices for her character in Frozen. We haven’t heard any details on who’ll provide the music, though the previous incarnation of the project had composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) attached. John Lasseter and Peter Del Vecho are on board as producers.
    This could be good.

"Gnomeo and Juliet" sequel titled "Gnomeo and Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes"

Why!!!!!!!???? Gnomeo and Juliet was okay but good enough for a sequel?
Elton John‘s Rocket Pictures is getting the ball rolling on Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes, a sequel to last year’s 3D animated adventure about lively lawn ornaments. John has begun composing new tunes for the film, while returning writers Andy Riley and Kevin Cecil are at work on the script. No director is attached at this time, though the search has already begun. The new film will see Gnomeo and Juliet calling on “the great ornamental detective” Sherlock Gnomes to find out why gnomes have been mysteriously disappearing from suburban England.
Rocket CEO Steve Hamilton Shaw describes the film as “a fun, broad family film” with “strong musical elements.” James McAvoy and Emily Blunt, who voiced the title characters in the first movie, will likely return, though their involvement has not been confirmed at this time.
I don't know why there doing this, its not even Shakespeare even more.
