"The Hangover" writers to make "Yogi Bear 2"

The people that wrote the funniest movie in the world are planing on writing a sequel to last year's Yogi Bear. Also is Rio writers that are doing this.
So its either gonna be all weird or its gonna be not a disappoint. I liked the first Yogi Bear, it wasn't my favorite film of the year, but it was fun to watch. I just thought that they needed to have more Yogi then just Ranger Smith.
The writers of The Hangover wanted to do this since they were barley in The Hangover Part II. Maybe thats the reason that it got 33% rotten (OK) on the tomatoemeter.

"Family Guy" desperate to win an Emmy?

The Family Guy creators and animators came together to do a kinda of a Boy cott for the Emmy's. They did a poster of Stewie looking sadly at a shelf were his Emmy's trophies were supposed to be, and the description says- "Its been this way for eight years, and its starting to hurt moral".
I don't know why there begging, usually its my favorite show Modern Family that wins one, Glee, or The Big Bang Theory that wins an Emmy.

"Kung Fu Panda 2 " review

Yesterday came out the sequel of 2008's Kung Fu Panda. The film got alot of good reviews. Although it didn't get a alot of percentage then the first. It got 83% fresh (really good)  on the Rotten Tomatoes  tomatometer.
I'm actually planning on seeing this myself, but intel then go watch this yourself.
When I see it I will give you my review. Also with Cars 2 coming out and Happy Feet 2 there is alot of sequels coming out this year.

"Happy Feet Two" teaser

Today You tube set out a teaser trailer for Warner Brothers' sequel to the Oscar winning animated film Happy Feet (beating Pixar's Cars). I kinda liked the first, its not my favorite movie but still. I saw the trailer, and I have to say it was kinda ... not good.

Personality of Pixar's Brave

Pixar’s first original fairy tale, Brave, is about a young princess named Merida (Kelly Macdonald) who defies her parents and inadvertently brings turmoil to their Kingdom. She must then do whatever is in her power to make things right. Featuring the voices of Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane the Marc Andrews/Brenda Chapman-directed film is scheduled for release June 22 and a trailer should be in front of Cars 2.
This seems mor like Disney than Pixar to me. Another fairy tale? They just now released Tangled and The Princess and the Frog, now this?
Anyway, Pixar has announced the personality of Merida, the main character. Pixar also announced the plot.
The rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland serve as the backdrop for Brave, a new tale that joins the lands ancient lore, stories of epic battles and mystical legends passed down for generations. Directed by Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman, and produced by Katherine Sarafian, Brave is the grand adventure of Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald), a skilled archer who confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts to discover the true meaning of courage.  The film also features the voices of Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane. Brave, full of heart, memorable characters and Pixar’s signature humor, takes aim at theaters on June 22, 2012, and will be presented in Disney Digital 3D in select theaters.
This is Pixar's first film with a main female role, it is also Pixar's first female director, too.

"The Smurfs" cast and plot

Sony Animation will release there new establishment The Smurfs. It will release in July 29. The official synopses below.
When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours — in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down.
Here’s the cast rundown: Jonathan Winters as Papa Smurf, George Lopez ( Lopez Tonight)  as Grouchy Smurf, Katy Perry (Teenage Dream) as Smurfette, Alan Cumming as Gutsy Smurf, Fred Armisen as Brainy Smurf, Anton Yelchin (Star Trek, Terminator Salvation) as Clumsy Smurf, Paul Reubens as Jokey Smurf, John Oliver as Vanity Smurf; Saturday Night Live‘s Kenan Thompson as Greedy Smurf, The Office’s B.J. Novak as Baker Smurf; and comedian Jeff Foxworthy as Handy Smurf.
I don't know how this one will turn out, since last years Yogi Bear wasn't that popular.

"The Lion King" in 3-D

The Lion King is gonna be in 3-D this fall. It will come out on Blu- Ray 3-D. It will hit theaters also, but only in one spot. Only in El Capitan in Hollywood.
I actually want to buy this. But I already have the film on VCR, and that would be spending money for no reason. Besides you only whatch it once when you buy it. Thats why I rent in Blockbuster.
Disney is also gonna release Alladen in 3-D on Blu Ray.

New "Kung Fu Panda" clip

Kung Fu Panda 2 is coming out Thursday it looks like everybody wants to see this. It got 91% on the tomatoemeter on the Rotten Tomatoes website (really good). It got way more percentage than the first Kung Fu Panda that got 89% (also really good).
I was a little surprised to hear that, considering that Dreamworks isnt very good at sequels. Like when they ruined Shrek, all though that they did get higher with Madagascar.
  Check out the clip.

Dreamworks' first female director and Blu Sky's Carlos Saldanha

Dreamworks has there first Female to direct Kung Fu Panda 2. Its also there first Asian female director (same thing). Her name is Jennifer Yuh Nelson. This is also her first time directing. As she was head of story for the first Kung Fu Panda, Sinbad: Legend of the High Seas, and story artist for the first Madagascar and my favorite Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.
Also animation had there first Latin director as well. Rio's director Carlos Saldanha. He was also apart of Ice Age 1,2, and 3. I thought it was a pretty good job.
Pixar is also having there first female director. She will be directing 'Brave' that is coming out next year. It is also Pixar's first main female role in a film.
Any way, congratulations Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Carlos Saldanha.

'Toy Story Toons'

Just like the Cars toons Pixar will release another series of shorts that is based on a film. This time its gonna be Toy Story. Two shorts will appear this year. First in front of Cars 2 that will be called Hawaiian Vacation that will star Toy Story's Barbie and Ken. The second will start in front of a new film about the lovable puppets The Muppets, that is still being planed out.
Yes more Toy Story!!!! I understand why there doing shorts and not a Toy Story 4. Thats like doing what Dreamworks did with Shrek.

'Madagascar' ride now open

Universial Studios Orlando has finally opened there new Madagascar ride. It took them that long? They were planning on this for 2 years already.
It looks pretty fun, I would even go on it. It shows us all the scenes from the first Madagascar film. With all the characters like Alex, Marty, Gloria, Melvin, and of course my favorite King Julian.
Also with Universial re- animating Spider-Man and a new Despicable Me ride, they have alot of work.
Below is the video if you don't want to travel all the way to Florida like me.

'Tintin' teaser trailer

The Adventures of Tintin is coming out this Christmas. It has two of the kings in the movie business for this project. Stephen Spielberg and Peter Jackson. The trailer looks deasent. All though it doesn't really look suitable for kids, but after watching Rango I learned that not all animated films are for your little brother and sister.

'Brave' teaser trailer to be in front of 'Cars 2'

Pixar has announced that there latest project 'Brave' will come out next year. It is told that the teaser will appear in front of Cars 2 this summer.
I cant wait for this. I wonder how its gonna be for 'Monsters University'.

Universal to reanimate Spider-man ride and 'Dispicable Me' ride

Today Universial Studios announced a press release that that the Spider-man ride will be re-animated to the public. Then they will be planning there first Universial animated film, Despicable Me into a ride. It will be replacing the 3-D Jimmy Neutron ride.
That is really disappointing, I loved that ride. Even more that it had The Rugrats  and Spongebob in it. They also say that there will be no Marvel characters in Disneyland.

'Cars 2' featurette

Cars 2 released there first featurette. To be honest with you this looks awesome. I mean, it doesn't look like the first ( I hope it isent), this actually looks good.

A lot of people want to know if its gonna be all adult cartoon like Family Guy or The Cleveland Show. I honesty want to see this. Besides Seth MacFarlane was also apart of Dextor's Laboratory.
Any way its coming out 2013.

"Monsters University" plot

Just today Pixar announced the official plot to the 2013 prequel to the classic Monsters inc. The official synopses below.
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. Monsters University unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
The next film is gonna be directed by Dan Scandlon, directer of the Mater Tall Tales shorts.
Why does it have to be a prequel, why cant it be like Toy Story 3? Why cant we just see how Boo is over these years? Shes probably 20 by now.

"La Luna" the best?

A few days ago I wrote that Pixar will be making a new short called "La Luna". Well today producer of the short Kevin Reher said- “beautiful, it’s lyrical, it’s very different from all the other ones. It’s amazing how easy it can be when you just have three characters and two sets.”
I don't know really. Pixar shorts all have less then 5 characters.

New "Cars 2" trailer and clip

Cars 2 released yet another trailer of Pixar's second sequel franchise. The trailer and clip were both on line at the same time. You tube wont let you watch the video because its privet. I don't know why Pixar would do that but you can still check it out in the link below.

LAIKA's ParaNorman

The creators of Coraline are in the works for a new comedy thriller called ParaNorman. Chris Butler, writer of the film says its about- "a small town comes under siege by zombies. Who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman, who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he’ll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst of all, moronic grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits."
To me it kinda sounds like a Coraline prequel. Looks like we have to see.

Pixar Short: "La Luna"

Pixar is developing a new short to there collection called "La Luna." Enrico Casarosa, director of the film, gave the synopses- La Luna is the timeless fable of a young boy who is coming of age in the most peculiar of circumstances. Tonight is the very first time his Papa and Grandpa are taking him to work. In an old wooden boat they row far out to sea, and with no land in sight, they stop and wait.  A big surprise awaits the little boy as he discovers his family’s most unusual line of work. Should he follow the example of his Papa, or his Grandpa? Will he be able to find his own way in the midst of their conflicting opinions and timeworn traditions?
I cant wait to see this. But I'm a little confused, I thought that a Toy Story short was gonna appear in front of Cars 2. Maby it will appear in front of there newest project "Brave" or "Monsters University".

Aardman's The Pirates! Band of Misfits and Arther Christmas

The creators of Chicken Run and Flushed Away have two movies in production. One called "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" is about, as Peter Loyd director of the film says says, – "a boundlessly enthusiastic, if somewhat less-than-successful, terror of the High Seas.  With a rag-tag crew at his side (Martin Freeman, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey, and Ashley Jensen), and seemingly blind to the impossible odds stacked against him, the Captain has one dream: to beat his bitter rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Cutlass Liz (Salma Hayek) to the much coveted Pirate Of The Year Award.  It’s a quest that takes our heroes from the shores of exotic Blood Island to the foggy streets of Victorian London.  Along the way they battle a diabolical queen (Imelda Staunton) and team up with a haplessly smitten young scientist (David Tennant), but never lose sight of what a pirate loves best: adventure!" The film already casted Hugh Grant and Salma Hayek.
The second film is called "Arther Christmas". Its about, as Peter Banhym screenwriter for the film says its about -
how Santa is able to deliver presents to all the children of the world in just one night. Apparently the film depicts Santa’s North Pole as “a high tech installation requiring a highly trained army of elves.” I love Aardman even though its made out of clay.
There are still no images or trailers for the Pirates film but there is a trailer for the Christmas movie.

DreamWorks animator abused dog

DreamWorks animator, Young Song was accused of shooting his naibor's dog and hammering him to death.
I don't know why or how he did that, but Song got fired from the animation company and sent to prison.  They said that he came back from animating a new scene from Kung Fu Panda 2 and shot the dog.
I hope he gets out soon because I wanna see Madagascar 3

Obama's birth video

At the White House Obama released an animated joke of his birth video. It was pretty dumb, but if that makes the president laugh well....
It was just a clip from The Lion King. Take a look.
