"Puss in Boots" review: "See in teathers"

After stepping out from the adventures of Shrek, our own Puss in Boots gets his own movie. I went to go see this yesterday and it was truly epic. As it got 82% on the Tomatoemeter.
Its still got some classic fairytale moments like in Shrek. But way better. It has humors moments with heartwarming sequences with breathtaking action and animation will left you up from the seat. Only can Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, and Zack Giliafankis can take the legend of boot waring cat. With a Latin touch to the film that made this movie even better. But has some inappropriate humor not for kids. But still good.
So, definitely watch in theaters. It's gonna be awesome.

First images for "Frankenweenie"

Tim Burton got fired from Disney a few decades ago when he made a short about a boy and his dead dog. Disney saw how un-friendly this was so they decided it was to much. They then gave him a second chance. Now hes gonna remake the short into a full-length film.
After doing my favorite Corps Bride in stop-motion hes gonna do this in stop-motion animation as well. Hears what Burton said-
I don’t know, they got freaked out or something, but they still allowed me to make the film. Even though I was frustrated about the release — or not release of it — it was still a great experience, and did a lot for me, so I couldn’t really complain.
So there it is. The images are in the link-http://www.slashfilm.com/images-tim-burtons-featurelength-version-frankenweenie/. Hears the synopses-

From creative genius Tim Burton (“Alice in Wonderland,” The Nightmare Before Christmas”) comes “Frankenweenie,” a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
A stop-motion animated film, “Frankenweenie” will be filmed in black and white and rendered in 3D, which will elevate the classic style to a whole new experience. In Tim Burton’s “Frankenweenie” young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.

"Tintin" gets 89% on Rotten Tomatoes

Tintin is already out in other countries so Rotten Tomatoes gave the score for the film, and it is very good.
89% is what the film scored and that is very good, unlike Puss in Boots that droped from 91% to 83% is just hope it wont go down more.

"Simpsons" spoof "127 Hours" and "Avatar"

On Sunday The Simpsons will feature Halloween themed movies like Avatar and my favorite 127 Hours, and other films.
Lets see how this will end up. Also will Jonah Hill's new animated series Allen Gregory will premiere on Sunday.

Peter Jackson will work on other "Tintin" film after "The Hobbit"

Tomorrow, Tintin will premiere in other countries, but for us we have to wait tell December. Now producer of the film Peter Jackson confirms that he will work on the second Tintin movie when we finishes The Hobbit.
The movies are based on books by Herge, so the second book was called Prisoners of the Sun. This is what Jackson said-
[Sony and Paramount] were willing to do one movie with us and then give us the financial werewithal to develop a script, do all the visual storyboards and get it really in launch position. So we can launch pretty quickly on a second movie. The script is already written.
This is what the film might be about-
After The Seven Crystal Balls set the eerie stage, Tintin and his friends continue their adventures in Peru. There Tintin rescues an orange-seller named Zorrino from being bullied, and the young man becomes their guide in their quest to find the Temple of the Sun. But they find more than they bargained for and end up in a hot spot. The perils of this engaging two-part adventure are especially harrowing in their combination of the supernatural and the real, although the resolution is a little too deus ex machina. Calculus and the Thompsons provide their usual comic relief.

"Winnie the Pooh" DVD review: "Buy it"

Although nobody thought that Winnie the Pooh was a good film, but I did and it got a 91% on the Tomatoemeter. It might even get an Oscar.
I haven't seen any commercials for the DVD. The DVD includes special featues like always.
Anyway buy this. I'm might gonna by this for my brother since it was his birthday yesturday, or I'll just take him to see Puss in Boots witch now got 91% on the Tomatoemeter.

New "Puss in Boots" clip

The famous Zach Galifianakis from my favorites The Hangover and Due Date meets the famous Humpty Dumpty. Hears a clip for the new film Puss in Boots witch I'm dying to see. Oh, and when he says "Maldito Huevo" its Spanish for "that f***ing egg", just to let you know.

Classic Suess characters to be animated in live-action Dr.Suess movie

Johnny Depp is in the works of a new movie about the creative author Dr.Suess, also is Depp gonna play the role as Suess himself.
Well its probably gonna be about the life of the author but today it was announced that the classic characters of Suess will appear in the film. So I guess the characters are gonna be alongside the live-action characters, like in my favorite Who Framed Rodger Rabbit.
This is what Depp said to Larry King on his talk show promoting (I wanna see) The Rum Diary-
It’s something we’re developing with Seuss’ widow, Geisel’s widow. It’s a very exciting possibility, because it’s a combination of live-action and…the characters will certainly have a role.
I can't wait for this. And Depp makes all his roles amazing like The Mad Hatter, Willie Wonka, Jack Sparrow and of coarse Rango.

Dreamworks to make "Captain Underpants" movie

For decades movie studios were trying and begging Dav Pilkey for the rights of Captain Underpants. Pilkey just didn't want these lovable characters to be "took en advantage of" since allot of producers ruin the movie based on the book. Well this is a moment of victory for Dreamworks as they won the bidding for the book. Seems like Pilkey came to his senses.
Well the studio wanted this series of popular books since it first hit book shelves in 1997. Hears what CCO Bill Damaschke said-
There’s a great anarchic combination of kid and adult humor, and George and Harold are these terrific mischievous characters. And we felt that hypnotizing the principal is one of those great ideas. We’re all big fans of the book.
I think that everybody is gonna love these movies. And with there hilarious book titles like Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets or Captain Underpants and the Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman. These are gonna be a hit.
Well this is awesome. And we wont worry about George and Harold getting to old because its gonna be animated. But if it was real Captain Underpants should be played by Kevin from The Office. Or it wold be better if the writers of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs were involved in this.

John Lasseter speakes out to "Cars 2"

In an interview with John Lassater, an unknown interviewer asked him about Pixar's first bad film. He might of said that the Disney company forced him to make another Cars movie saying that they need more money from the franchise. Today Lasseter said this denying what he said-
"It’s people who don’t know the facts, rushing to judge. I recognize my place in the Walt Disney Company, but my job, my focus, my deepest desire is to entertain people by making great movies, and we did that with ‘Cars 2.’ ”
“I typically don’t read the reviews. I make movies for that little boy who loves the characters so much that he wants to pack his clothes in a Lightning McQueen suitcase.”
So I haven't seen it yet.

New "Tintin" trailer

This is amazing!!! I just cant wait to see this. This mo-cap looks better then Imagemovers' work. Hope you like it as Steven Speilberg calls it "an Indiana Jones for kids".

Critics rave for "Tintin" with new poster

The UK is expecting Tintin on October 26 and will come hear in the US December 21. The first review hit last week, now more reviews are hear.
There are some good reviews and some bad, as Steven Speilberg calls the action as good as Indiana Jones 4. Hears some reviews-
And we’re off on a breathlessly fast-paced mystery tour that draws from three separate Herge adventures, introduces Tintin to sozzled Scottish sidekick Captain Haddock (Andy Serkis, richly amusing), crosses oceans, deserts and sultanate kingdoms in search of missing treasure in creaky biplanes and sidecar motorcycles, and delivers one thrilling set-piece after another in a way that suggests that Spielberg has not only pulled out his Indiana Jones toolbox but has decided to pack anything and everything into Tintin that the logistical, budgetary realities of shooting live action won’t let him do. Let off his leash, he’s clearly having a blast, and so do we.
Says IndieWire and hears a bad review from Guardian-
Yet while the big set pieces are often exuberantly handled, the human details are sorely wanting. How curious that Hergé achieved more expression with his use of ink-spot eyes and humble line drawings than a bank of computers and an army of animators were able to achieve. On this evidence, the film’s pioneering “performance capture” technique is still too crude and unrefined. In capturing the butterfly, it kills it too.
I just cant wait for this movie, I hope its not what Guardian said it was. And the poster looks good with more scenes of the main character (above).

"Angry Birds" new adventures

I think this is for the new Angry Birds Moon Festival, or unless there making a special Halloween app for the birds. But I don't know. Hears a sneek peek at the new adventures for Angry Birds. I don't know much but is that the new rumored bird, or a baby pig.

First review of "Tintin"

The Adventures of Tintin is coming and will premiere in London in a few weeks, so there is still no reviews yet or score on Rotten Tomatoes, or is there? John Williams gave a good score to the film and gave us the review for it also. As he says- “a joyful play of opposites: the romance of old-school cinema, conjured by the slick synthesis of CG wizardry.”
This is kinda what it looks like- Empire praises the stylish opening credits (“Nouvelle Vague flourish… featuring Tintin in silhouette dashing past giant typewriters and former foes”) and Andy Serkis‘ performance as Captain Haddock (“Serkis gives the movie its rich, flawed, bountiful heart”) while noting that the script by Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, and Stephen Moffat “struggles to be out-and-out funny” when not engaging with Haddock.
This is also what they said-
In an exalted midsection, in which Haddock, stricken by sobriety, relays his family history, we flow with unceasing movement between his telling and a titanic sea battle of old. Here, finally, is what the medium offers a filmmaker. Spielberg reaches a delirium of creativity through match cuts and dissolves: reflections in blades, bubbles, the bottom of a whiskey bottle transformed into a telescope, and a desert morphing into a squalling ocean.
Man, I can't wait for this movie.

"Tintin" clip

Although mo-cap isn't my favorite use of animation but when I see the posters or the trailers for the film then this I could like. Its amazing to see these characters come to life like this. I hope its good. Hears the clip.

Art Clokey's 90th birthday

The man that made the first ever claymated short was the man that made the famous little green clayed Gumby has turned 90. I've seen some of his work and there pretty amazing. Like Gumby Goes to the Moon and others.
If you want to see Gumby in action go to Google.
    Anyway happy birthday Clokey!

Paramount online awards with "Rango" and other films

The first company to have self awards this year is Paramount. The awards will be given out to Rango, Super 8, and Like Crazy.

Man, Rango has gotten allot of awards this year. He might even get an Oscar.

Steve Jobs asked Aaron Sorkin to make a Pixar movie

The death of Steve Jobs was as sad and tragic as the death of King of Pop Micheal Jackson. But Jobs had one last request for the eye at Pixar. He asked Oscar winning writer Aaron Sorkin to make a movie at the studio. Sorkin had allot to think about. Hears what he said-
But it’s his last call I’ll always remember. He wanted me to write a Pixar movie. I told him I loved Pixar movies, I’d seen all of them at least twice and felt they were small miracles, but that I didn’t think I’d be good at it.
Hears the interview that Jobs gave to Sorkin-

STEVE: Why not?
ME: I just—I don’t think I can make inanimate objects talk.
STEVE: Once you make them talk they won’t be inanimate.
ME: The truth is I don’t know how to tell those stories. I have a young kid who loves Pixar movies and she’ll turn cartwheels if I tell her I’m writing one and I don’t want to disappoint her by writing the only bad movie in the history of Pixar.
(long silence)
STEVE: Jeez … write about THAT.
ME: Steve—
STEVE: Why don’t you come up here and let me give you a tour of the place.
Then this is what Sorkin said-  I told him I’d take him up on it and I never did. But I still keep thinking about that Pixar movie.
Sounds good huh? I hope that Sorkin takes up Jobs' offer. I like how Jobs said "Once you make them talk they wont inanimate". But this will probably not happen, but its those out-of the -box thinking that made Jobs so extraordinary.

David Stainton to be new president of new Paramount Animation

Dreamworks former publisher Paramount has been really on the works with the hole animation studio. Now they got a man to run it. Former Disney president David Stainton has been chosen for the job. Hears what Paramount said about Stainton-

Paramount Animation aims to focus on high-quality animation with budgets per picture of up to $100 million, with an initial target of one release per year. The division’s mandate will be the development of the broadest range of family CGI animated films, with a key piece being titles under the label of Viacom’s Nickelodeon, the No. 1 entertainment brand for kids worldwide. Paramount will also build on Viacom’s already thriving global consumer products business by seeking to capitalize on merchandising opportunities tied to all Paramount Animation releases.
“David’s accomplishments speak for themselves, and I am glad to welcome him to the lot as we start this exciting new chapter,” Adam Goodman added. “With David’s leadership, we will look to build on what has been a very strong year for our studio in animation, with Rango and the upcoming Adventures of Tintin pointing to the kind of artist-driven, broad-appeal films we intend to make at Paramount Animation.”
I don't know about Paramount, as long as they make a Popeye movie. Wait....isn't Sony making a Popeye movie?

"Lego Harry Potter-Years 1-7" trailer

The Lego Harry Potter franchise is one of the best spoofs of video games based on movies, but the Lego ones are special. Finally you can enjoy the hole entire game from the years 1-7. I might even get. I just like how Lego makes funny jokes out of serious movies like Harry Potter.

Pixar's tribute to Steve Jobs

The man that made Apple and the reason Woody and Buzz are never forgettable has has died. On the Pixar website, when first go to it a huge picture of Pixar masterminds, John Lasseter, Ed Catmull and Steve Jobs. There is a wonderful description underneath that shows us what Steve Jobs was all about.

"Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Demintion" review

Unlike those original movies that are based on t.v. shows or just a bad kiddy movie, or just a Disney Channel movie. But this one, this one is amazing. Of course Phineas and Ferb was amazing by its self but this makes it even more amazing.
It has heart, and action, twist and turns with the same Phineas and Ferb pizzazz. Wile the boys encounter a hidden secret from there boring pet platypus Perry. And see what lurks in there future as they battle a ferocious beast, save the future and survive the 2nd demintional Doofenshmurtz. This original movie based on the hit Disney Channel show will leave you standing for more. Although the ending was a wast of time.
One more thing, can they let Ferb talk more. I mean Phineas' voice is just annoying.

New "Puss in Boots" trailer

I officially want to see this after watching this. More action and adventure with the classic Dreamworks punch lines. This movie just looks amazing.

Two New "Puss in Boots" posters

Puss in Boots is coming closer. So hears some two new posters of the film. Showing the mysterious Kitty Softballs and Humpty Dumpty. Hope you like them.

Sony gets Kelly Asbury on "Pooch Cafe"

Sony just releasing The Smurfs and hiring Horrible Bosses writers to do Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, now with a new project. Pooch Cafe based on a comic strip by Paul Gilligan will be made into a movie by Gnomeo and Juliet writer/director Kelly Asbury. Also he co-directed Dreamworks Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron also Shrek 2. He did other films as will as Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The film is about a Poncho, a cheese-loving, squirrel-fearing, toilet-drinking mutt who joins his canine friends at the Pooch Café, a neighborhood hangout where dogs can be dogs and compare notes on such weighty issues as avoiding baths, zebra-flavored kibble, and the construction of a giant catapult with which to hurl all the world's cats into the sun.
"Kelly's wit and cinematic sensibility pairs wonderfully with the irreverent characters and wry comedy in the "Pooch Café" comic strip," said SPA's production prexy Michelle Raimo-Kouyate. "We've been looking for something to do with Kelly, and this was a perfect match."

Steve Jobs and John Lasseter on Pixar

Steve Jobs is a man of many talents, with Apple and Pixar. In this interview we see both geniuses Steve Jobs and John Lasseter on a 1995 aired Charlie Rose. Were there talking about Toy Story.
After seeing this I saw that Steve Jobs wasn't just an inventor but dreamer. What he said really touched me. "I don't know anyone that hasn't seen Snow White" says Jobs.
We lost a great man with ideas that we only dream of having. A great mind a great man. Bought Pixar and invented Apple he was this generations Da' Vinci. He's changed the way we live and nobody is gonna be the same as him. You will be missed Steve Jobs.

"Toy Story" writers to make "Farmville" movie?

Hollywood, the place of stars and the most amusement parks, and of the most dumbest movies. Toy Story  writers Alec Sokolow and Joel Cohen are now in the process of making the Facebook game Farmville into a movie. I know, I know who wants to see a movie about a guy making a farm. If you want to see that then just see The Grapes of Wrath. Hears what the writers said-
So, yes, we will continue writing movies. We are also working on several new and very exciting opportunities. We’re in conversations with Zynga to do something with one of their brands. Can’t really say too much on that front yet, but ‘Old MacDonald’ didn’t have a factory, if you get our drift.
But still there making an Angry Birds movie soon so...

"Fruit Ninga, Puss in Boots" edition

Fruit Ninga is a popular app that is like playing Angry Birds, you can never put it down. This time with sword fighting Puss in Boots. I've never played Fruit Ninga but after seeing this I want to.

Javier Bardam to voice villain in "Despicable Me 2"

The poster for the sequel to the film Despicable Me was hear now we hear some news on some new members. Javier Bardam will join the cast as one of the villains named El Macho along with his son Machito. The bad part is that Gru is now good and not a jerk like in the first film. And the girls are gonna help him fight the villain. I just wanna see the minions.

"The Simpsons" NOT to be cancelled?

I posted a few days ago that The Simpsons were called to be cancelled with the show Dexter. Now it is said that Fox will not be cancelling the show. Now the producers are gonna cut the pay-checks for the cast and crew.
Hears what Fox said- “Fox wants The Simpsons for one more season at most” so that means that it could possibly get cancelled in 2013. If the cast will not like there checks. And they wont.
The producers of the show let the cast members until tomorrow to decide if they accept the pay cuts (they wont). One unnamed worker at Fox said this about the show-
The cuts proposed to actors are in line with cuts proposed to others involved in the show. The object here is not for the actors to pay personally for the reduction. The cost is that the cast is a component of the show, all of which is being downsized to do a final season.
But everybody is on this. So maby The Simpsons shouldn't get canceled. Just what I said when they cancelled Hey Arnold!

"Finding Nemo" Blu-Ray trailer

Finding Nemo is coming big with its re-release in 3-D. But to be honest why can't they wait tell the 3-D version comes out in DVD. I mean a kid is gonna want this, then the 3-D one comes out and then hes gonna feel like an idiot.

New "Happy Feet Two" trailer

The new trailer for the sequel to the film Happy Feet is out. This time with more dancing, singing, elephant seals, and a flying penguin. Basically has the same parts as the teaser, but whatever. And with a great voice cast (more then this years The Smurfs) witch includes the beautiful Sofia Vergara and more.

New "Tintin" trailer

The new trailer for the most epic looking movie of the year is hear. Its got the same old fashioned Indiana Jones looking action. I cant wait check it out.

New Aardman movie in the works

Aardman witch will release the holiday filmed Arther Christmas, and the pirates themed movie The Pirates! Is now making a new original script for a movie.
Nick Park, the man that had the idea for Wallace and Gromft  is working on it. The film will be in classic stop-motion and not CGI like Arther Christmas. Company spokesperson Arther Sheriff said- “Park is currently working furiously on a new script.” There is still no word if it will be released by Sony.

Disney and Pixar classics back on screen in 3-D!

The Lion King was huge in 3-D also was Pixar's double re-release of Toy Story 1 and 2. But still more to come. This is the biggest news of the week.
All these classics like Finding Nemo, Monsters inc., Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid will all come to life like never before in theaters. I always wanted to see the sights of the ocean in 3-D, and seeing bedroom doors like never before. Hears what president of Disney had to say- “Great stories and great characters are timeless, and at Disney we’re fortunate to have a treasure trove of both."
Hears when the films will appear-
  • Beauty and the Beast – January 13, 2012
  •  DisneyPixar’s Finding Nemo – September 14, 2012
  • DisneyPixar’s Monsters, Inc. – January 18, 2013 (Monsters University, a prequel to the original film, arrives in theaters in Disney Digital 3D on June 21, 2013)
  • The Little Mermaid- September 13, 2013
     I can't wait

New "Arthur Christmas" trailer

Aardman and Sony will release there next holiday based film Arthur Christmas. This doesn't look like any other holiday movie.
It doesn't have the same Aardman "pizzazz" but still. It looks like theirs gonna be allot of twist and turns, like the lions or the transforming sleigh that turns into a train. Or how that little joke saying "how to teach woman to read. I just love how they put those stuff into animated films.
The movie will be out this year, and it looks like Sony changed there logo look.

"The Simpsons" will be cancled?

The longest aired sitcom in history and even got a Guinness World Record for longest show ever will (might) get cancelled. But I seriously doubt it.
    Hears what FOX said-
23 seasons in, The Simpsons is as creatively vibrant as ever and beloved by millions around the world. We believe this brilliant series can and should continue, but we cannot produce future seasons under its current financial model. We are hopeful that we can reach an agreement with the voice cast that allows The Simpsons to go on entertaining audiences with original episodes for many years to come.
But still you know how much money they make, and with there own network on the way its highly logical.

"The Lion King 3-D" DVD review: "Buy it"

First time I've seen a movie that just came out in theaters and is now on DVD. The Lion King 3-D can now be yours to own.
The Lion King is well written and perfectly animated with classic hand-drawn animation. This movie will make you smile from beginning to end.
Anyway buy it. You wont regret it, unless you already have the 1994 DVD or VCR then that's kinda not smart.

New "The Lorax" poster

Illumination Entertainment has released a teaser poster for the adaption of Dr. Suess' The Lorax. The poster doesn't really show anything, but it does sound cool. It kinda reminds me of Blu Sky's adaption of Dr. Suess' Horton Hears a Who!
The film will come out March 2. With Zac Efron in the cast.

"Secret Mountin Fort Awesome" review

Cartoon Network released a new series created by Peter Browngardt. This doesn't look as good, but then again all CN cartoons are dumb. So really this one of those shows.
Skip it, you wont like this show.

John K.s' "Simpsons"

The Simpsons is best known for there Couch Gags. Now Ren and Stimpy creator John K. has made a well animated opening for the show, with a Ren and Stimpy looking Simpsons. Hears what K. had to say-
Matt Groening and Al Jean [executive producer] asked me to do it. They showed me an opening that Banksy did that satirized the animation production assembly line system in Korea and told me it was really popular, so they wanted to do something similar with me.
Its just awesome.

"Peanuts" parody

Charlie Brown is more then 60 years old right now, but do we now were he is? The Fine Brothers have answered the question with this. This is clever and funny hope you like it.

"The Lion King 3-D" on list of highest grossing films

Disney's re-release of The Lion King has been #1 for two weeks and it has allot of buzz. Now the film has grossed out of over $79.7 million in the country domestically.
The Lion King 3-D is now joining Shrek 2 and Toy Story 3 on the list of highest grossing films.

"The Lion King" Hakuna Matata trailer

The Lion King is best known for perfect animation and showing us the world of the savanna through the eyes of lions, but what its really famous for is Hakuna Matata. Check out the trailer for the 3-D version.

New "Winnie the Pooh" clip

Hears a new clip of the film Winnie the Pooh. I can't wait tell it comes out in DVD. My brother just loves Winnie the Pooh.

"Puss in Boots" opens one week earlier

It has just been announced that the film Puss in Boots will open one week earlier. Instead of November 9 it will open October 28. That means less wait. And that is very good.

Sunday, October 2, 2011

"Gears of War 3" has more emotion then action?

Everybody loves the Gears of War franchise, and with the third one already out it has allot of buzz. I've never played any of the games but I well tell you this.
Well the franchise is supposed to be gory and all that for a rated M game. Well critiques are saying that this game will make you "shed a tear". Saying that if your a really competitive gamer and want to kill something in the game with those huge guns then this game will change that. There is still allot of killing but with a twist.
I kinda expected it to be a heartwarming looking at the trailer, with its heavenly music reading "Brothers to THE END".

Dreamworks Halloween DVD pack

Dreamworks has made very funny films, also very funny features. On NBC they premiered the Shrek special Scared Shrekless and Monsters vs. Alians' Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space. Now there on DVD. I don't know when it will come out but it looks good. Also there is gonna be Shrek parody of Micheal Jackson's Thriller witch kinda looks dumb.

New "Puss in Boots" clip

Finally the first clip to the Shrek spin-off Puss in Boots is hear. This one kinda shows the romantic side to the film. Kitty Softballs is the female that has Puss' eye. Heres the hilarious clip.

New "Pirates" trailer

The Pirates! Band of Misfits is coming and it looks amazing. Finally Aardman is bringing back the classic stop-motion claymation since Chicken Run. I can't wait to see this. Check it out.
