Pixar gets sued!?

First Dreamworks now Pixar? Another lawsuit has happen saying that another company has stole the idea from a person.
British screenwriter Jake Mandeville-Anthony has lost his lawsuit against Disney and Pixar, which claimed that Pixar stole the idea for the Cars franchise from him, thereby infringing his copyright.
Man, this giving a company an idea for movie seems risky.

"The Smurfs" review: "Skip it"

Sony Animation brought back the most lovable blue characters The Smurfs to the eyes of old and new viewers. The only bad thing about the classic characters is that the story isn't so classic. As the film got 19% rotten "very bad" on the Tomatoemeter.
Though The Smurfs didn't get a good review, the animation is great. But that was the only good part of the film. The jokes were as cheesy as iCarly and the story needs allot of work done. But if you like movies that the 3-D actually pops out of the screen, then this is the movie. The cast is good but there parts are horrible. Smurfette does sound like Katey Perry, so does Fred Armisen as he sounds like Brainy Smurf. But George Lopez doesn't sound like Grumpy Smurf neither does Jonathan Winters to Papa Smurf. And why does every thing have to be New York? Honestly I would just go watch because Sofia Vergada is it, and George Lopez.
But still just skip this film don't even rent it.

New "Tintin" images

Comic-Con released two new images for the Steven Spielberg/Peter Jackson film The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. The images look breath taking as the animation is captured beautifully with Mo-cap.
I actually want to see this movie. Check them out.

"Simpsons" skateboards

Check out these awesome looking skateboards created by Santa Cruz Skateboards based on the most famous and long lasting (longer than Spongebob) cartoon ever. The Simpsons. I have to say these look amazing. I would buy these- if only I knew how to skate.

"Brave" sneak peek

Empire Magazine's Big Screen event in London will include a special sneak peek  at Pixar's Brave.

New poster for "Happy Feet Two"

Warner Bros. released a new poster for there new movie that will come out in November, Happy Feet Two. This movie just looks bad, I mean again with the dancing penguins? This just looks terrible, and that's the fault of of the trailer.
Any way Warner Bros. set out a new poster for the sequel to the Oscar winning Happy Feet. Check it out above. But first here's the synopses-

The sequel to “Happy Feet,” the Academy Award-winning animated smash hit, “Happy Feet Two” returns audiences to the magnificent landscape of Antarctica in superb 3D.
Mumble, The Master of Tap, has a problem because his tiny son, Erik, is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven — a penguin who can fly! Mumble has no hope of competing with this charismatic new role model.
But things get worse when the world is shaken by powerful forces.
Erik learns of his father’s “guts and grit” as Mumble brings together the penguin nations and all manner of fabulous creatures — from tiny Krill to giant Elephant Seals — to put things right.

Meet "Clumsy" in "The Smurfs"

"Winnie the Pooh" my review

I saw Winnie the Pooh last night and I have to say it was awesome. I just loved it. I could tell my family loved it too. It was just perfect from beginning to end.
The animation was beautiful. I love how Disney keeps it classic like how it was meant it to be. The voices were great. It sounded just like the original ones. Not like The Smurfs that just want famous actors. Like Grouchy doesn't sound like George Lopez in the original one, in the original one Grouchy has a low-high voice. I loved it even more with Tom Kenny as Rabbit. It was perfect. It could of been longer since it was only an hour. I was just glad that it wasn't in 3-D. The story was great and the jokes were hilarious.
I defenitly recommend you watch this as it has 90% fresh on the Tomatoemeter.

Dreamworks gets sued!?

Dreamworks got sued because a man (unknown) had the idea for the hit Kung Fu Panda movies and he gave the idea to Dreamworks, but now he claims that Dreamworks did the hole idea with out him. He even said that Dreamworks didn't even put his name at the end credits. I didn't even know that till now.
I guess it was happening for a wile. Today the jury was on Dreamworks side saying-
“The idea for the hit Kung Fu Panda movies was stolen from a man who pitched the studio months before it began developing the project without him.”
So I guess Dreamworks isn't guilty. Man, I feel bad for the man, I actually want to give a movie idea to Pixar, and a t.v show idea for Nick. I hope it goes good for me.

Katy Perry as "Smurfette" in "The Smurfs"

Sony Animation released a little video on the only female part in The Smurfs, Smurfette witch is voiced by the talented Katy Perry. This movie looks fun but it doesn't look decent.

Aardman released a new poster for there new up coming stop motion clay animated movie The Pirates! Band of Misfits. The movie looks great by watching the trailer. This looks great check it out above.

"Lion King" art

Check out this beautiful paper sculpture for the my favorite movie The Lion King. Its pretty amazing I would love to have this.

New "Penguins of Madagascar" video game.

Comic- Con released a trailer for the new Penguins of Madagascar video game (I love the show). The game doesn't seem that exciting, but whatever.

"The Flaming C" movie trailer

Conan, the most funny man alive had a  visit with Bruce Timm an animator at Warner Bros. Animation that animates for Young Justice and my favorite The Looney Tunes Show made an awesome cartoon super- hero designed for Conan on his talk- show on tbs (witch I love).
I actually thought it was real, but it was too good to be true.
Check it out below. "It looks good!!!!"

The Flaming C Movie Trailer (HD)

Steven Spielberg first Comic- Con apperence, and its for "Tintin"

Steven Spielberg is gonna make his first appearance at legendary Comic- Con (I've never been to one). Spielberg and Peter Jackson talked about this winter's The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn. They talked about how the 3-D effects are breath taking, and my favorite quote he said was-
     "This isn't The Polar Express"
This is great. Tintin looks amazing and after watching Rango I'll go see anything Nickelodeon Movies puts out.

"Bone" movie in the works and in 3-D CGI.

Finally! The Bone movie that has been in development since 2009 is now gonna come to the big screen. Warner Bros. has picked up a deal with Bone master mind Jeff Smith. Warner Bros. had many scrips to the graphic novel but none of them got the attention of Smith. But today Warner made a fresh scrip and this was the one. Here's how Smith described it-
Fone Bone was falling in the water and going through cliffs and canyons. The dragon moved in from off camera in the shadows with smoke around him, all in 3-D. It was pretty mind-blowing.
That would look amazing. I mean wow. Nickelodeon was gonna get Bone but Smith didn't want Britney Spears singing during Bone.
Also with Rasal making a movie that is also Smith's work. I can't wait for this.

DreamWorks Animation’s MONKEYS OF MUMBAI (working title)

Dreamworks has just announced that Kevin Lima will direct Dreamworks new film Monkeys of Mumbai. Working title as they say. With the producers Lisa Stewart and Chris Chase. They gave the synopses-
Inspired by the Indian epic tale of The Ramayana- but retold through the point of view of its monkeys- Monkeys of Mumbai revolves around 2 common monkeys who become unlikely heroes in an effort to stop an ancient demon from conquering the world.
This doesn't really sound good to me.

New animation school opens across from Pixar

Animation Collaborative is the name of the animation school that opened up across the street from the best company ever Pixar. The school pays $1,400 (8-week summer sessions) to $1,900 (13-week fall sessions). I would like to enroll there. I might even get a chance to work at Pixar.

"Jetsons" movie?

We all love the high tech future family The Jetsons. Now the you can see them in the screen, but is not animated sadly. Producer, Denise Di Novi said that she will bring the lovable characters to life.
  Here's what she said-
“I’ve been developing that for so many years. We actually just turned a new draft in of that script last week to the studio, so I’m still trying to make it. I still think it would be a hit movie. (Robert Rodriguez) was attached to it and his version was fantastic, but honestly, it wasn’t a mainstream studio version. It was kind of his version of what he would shoot at his studio in Texas. He’s got a great set-up down there, and I think part of it is that ‘it may be fun to play with all those big toys at the studio’ but he has a pretty good system going.”
I think it should still be animated. I hope its not like The Flinstones live movie.

Collin Hanks "hates" the new "Smurfs" movie

Collin Hanks (brother of Tom Hanks) said that he has a bone to pick with Sony Animation's Smurf movie coming out. Here's what he said-
“I will be quite honest with you: I was very excited to do Vanity Smurf in Robot Chicken. It was the most fun fifteen minutes I’ve ever had voicing anything, and I am appalled that he is not in the Smurfs movie. If they make a Smurfs sequel — and I’m sure they will, because that movie’s going to be smurf-tastic — and they do not offer me the role of Vanity Smurf, I will be even more appalled.”

"Toy Story" director rejects "Toy Story 4"?

BBC last interviewed Tom Hanks (Toy Story 2,) now they interviewed John Lasseter (Toy Story) on the rumored Toy Story 4. When asked he totally changed the topic on Cars 2, as if he was hiding something. Check it out below.
For the question go to 1 minute on 15 seconds.

"Winnie the Pooh" opens up at #6

Winnie the Pooh opened last Friday with a really good 91% fresh on the Tomatoemeter, but that didn't keep the classic bear from hitting the charts. It got #6 at box office, witch is what Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs Evil got as it got a really bad 12% rotten. Any way that wont stop me from seeing it. At #1 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2 that got 94% fresh, which I would also like to see. But at #5 is still Cars 2 with an OK 35% rotten.

"Toy Story 4" to be released in 2015

Yup, Its official. A new Toy Story film will be on its way to theaters in the year 2015. I still cant believe this, why Pixar. They just made the best ending to a perfect ending of a lovable story that took three times to tell.
I hope Pixar knows what there doing, or else Toy Story will be the next Shrek.

"Winnie the Pooh" review: "See in Theaters"

Winnie the Pooh opened today and seems like its the best animated film of this year, since it got 90% fresh on the Tomatoemeter (really good). I'm actually planning on seeing this. It looks funny and adorable. With all the great and lovable characters we all loved growing up. This is special for me since Winnie the Pooh was like the first cartoon I saw.
The voice cast is great. They have Criag Ferguson as the intelligent Owl. And who can't forget about the voice of the most famous sponge Spongebob, Tom Kenny lens a voice for the nerve- racing Rabbit. Oh and the animation, this is why I love Disney they never forget about 2- D. After a wile 3- D animation can really bug you.

"Rango" DVD review: "Buy it"

Rango just came out today and its the best movie I saw this year (next to Rio and Kung Fu Panda 2). The DVD has amazing specials. The DVD includes a not seen in theaters ending. Also with two ways to see the movie, theatrical and extended.
Rango is perfect from beginning to end. As it has hilarious jokes (not for kids but funny), scenes full of action, and the most amazing use of animation I've seen in my life. I defenitly recommend you watching this, as I think is better then last year's Oscar nominated and wins True Grit that I also loved. The only bad thing is that Rango went down a point on the Tomatoemeter, since it got 89% fresh but now has 88% fresh (still good).
Any way buy this. I would buy this but I'm more of a rent kind of guy.

Cartoons and Dreamworks

Its been 80 years of cartoons here are some cool facts on the voices check them out on the link http://geektyrant.com/news/2011/7/13/infographic-shows-eighty-years-of-cartoon-voices.html.
  Beautiful art from Dreamworks films.

"The Pirates! Band of Misfits" trailer

Aardman and now Sony Animation are not only gonna make the holiday themed movie Arthur Christmas but there also gonna do and bring back the classic Aardman clay stop motion animation they used on my favorite film Chicken Run.
This movie looks amazing, with great jokes, and with a great cast with Salma Hayek (Grown Ups, and now starring in this years Puss in Boots) and many more.
Aardman was gonna release this film before Chicken Run but Dreamworks said that no one will like a movie about pirates, but when Sony saw how people liked The Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy they went for it.
  Check out the trailer below.

Aardman / Sony presents - THE PIRATES! BAND OF MISFITS (Trailer)

New teaser and poster for "Arthur Christmas"

Aardman and Sony Animation (Aardman left Dreamworks by the way) are gonna do a new Christmas themed movie called Arthur Christmas. This film doesn't look like Aardman material. Since there almost being the next Pixar, but they only have three films. Any way this kinda looks good.
Here is the synopses-   Arthur LOVES everything to do with Christmas; indeed, he is the only one in his family still captivated by the magic of the holiday. Laurie will play Arthur’s older brother Steve, heir to the reins, a cool, incredibly capable guy who has given the North Pole high-tech efficiency, military-style precision. Broadbent plays Santa, who pictures himself as the guy in charge at the North Pole, but is now more of a figurehead as the operation has outgrown him. Nighy plays Santa’s 136-year-old father, Grandsanta, a cranky old codger who hates the modern world, is always grumbling that Christmas ‘was better when I was Santa’ and has a tense relationship with Steve, who he calls ‘A postman with a spaceship.’ Jensen will play Bryony, a lowly elf from the Giftwrap Battalion, with an eager-to-please attitude and an obsession with wrapping and bows. Imelda Staunton rounds out the cast as Mrs. Santa, dedicated wife and mother to her husband and sons.
Check out the poster above and the trailer below.

$12.49 on "How to Train your Dragon" 2- disc set on Blu/DVD

Amazon is selling my favorite movie How to Train your Dragon for only $12.49, but I would hurry if I were you. The sale ends tonight at midnight.
I love How to Train your Dragon. Its Dreamworks best film since Antz. It had a perfect story, with great comedy, action, and emotion that left me smile from start to end. Although the dragons look familiar to the ones off of the my favorite graphic novel Bone by Jeff Smith (author and illustrator, and my idol). I would get this.

"La Luna" screening

The North American premiere of Pixar’s latest short film La Luna will screen on Thursday July 21st as part of the opening night program at the LA Shorts Fest. A special presentation of “The Making of Pixar’s La Luna” by its director Enrico Casarosa will take place on Sunday July 24th at noon.

The Secret Of The Unicorn Full Movie Trailer.flv

New "Tintin" trailer

Nickelodeon Movies film The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn will be coming out in theaters December 23, just in time for Christmas. The new trailer hit the web today and I have to say this looks amazing. Not only is the animation beautiful, but the action looks gasping. Just a movie with guns gets me into it.
  Here are the synopses-
Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present a 3D Motion Capture Film “The Adventures of Tintin” directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot ,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace ,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.
  Check out the trailer above.

Dreamworks still in pain

The CEO of Dreamworks is shocked that Paramount made this announcement-

“Their going into the lower-end of the animation business isn’t going to impact DreamWorks at all. Next year is a moment of opportunity for us. We get to evaluate.”
That must be really bad.

Sid shirt on sale

We all know the toy destroying Sid from Toy Story. Now you can get his famous skull shirt at my favorite store Hot Topic. This looks amazing. I think I would buy it. Check it out above.

Famous cars get Car- ified

In every movie there is always a super cool car that we want. Now all those cars like the Batmobile from Batman, Bumble Bee from Transformers, and many more as they get the altamate Pixar's Cars touch.
Check them out in the link below.

"Horrible Bosses" writhers to write "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2"

Yes, there will be a sequel to my favorite movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Except this is gonna be an original movie and not the sequel that Ron and Judi Barrett, author and illustrator to the book have made a book sequel called Pickles to Pittsburgh. The only bad thing that it might not have Flint and Sam in it.
Any way the writers to the comedy Horrible bosses (which I want to see) are gonna write Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. This is gonna be awesome.

Paramount leaving Dreamworks, sticking with Nickelodeon Movies and making there own Animated studio

Paramount signed a deal with Dreamworks to stick with them for a year. But Paramount can't take it anymore. They decided to leave Dreamworks and make there own animated studio. But there not forgetting about Nickelodeon movies. So I don't know how this is gonna work out.

"Thor" composer will score "Brave"

Patrick Doyle, composer to Thor and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will music score Pixar's Brave. Michael Giacchino, a famous Pixar composer was in to score the music for this film, but then gave the job to Doyle since he was Scottish and the film takes place in Scotland, so are the voice actors and characters. Hear is what Doyle had to say- I want to make it accessible but to honor the Celtic traditions if I can. It’s a real fable set in Scotland. I could possibly use the bagpipes as a drone or something that gives atmosphere, but I will resist instantly using them until I see what’s going on … they are extremely loud.
To be honest I wanted Randy Newman to do this, since all his music is beautiful. He won an Oscar this year from Toy Story 3 in the category Best Original Song.

New show "Thundercats"

A new show is coming to Cartoon Network check out the promo to Thundercats.

Someone made this cool Harry Potter/Disney image called WizneyLand.

New "Tintin" image

Steven Spielberg's new film The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn released a new image of the main characters face above with his loyal dog.
This movie actually looks good. I just don't get Nickelodeon movies, why are they putting so many guns in there projects. Like Rango. Anyway check out the picture. And hears the synopses.
Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present “The Adventures of Tintin” directed by Steven Spielberg from a screenplay by Steven Moffat and Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish. Starring Jamie Bell (“Billy Elliot,” “Defiance”) as Tintin, the intrepid young reporter whose relentless pursuit of a good story thrusts him into a world of high adventure, and Daniel Craig (“Quantum of Solace,” “Defiance”) as the nefarious Red Rackham.
The film will come out December 23.

"Cars 2" Easter eggs

It's tradition in Pixar to always have hidden characters from up coming Pixar films coming out in the later year and in the years past. Finally we see the Easter eggs from Cars 2. The list is to long to fit in my blog so check them out in the link below.

Marvel Studios chairman gives input on "Angry Birds"

Angry Birds is one of the most famous games to hit since Super Mario. The game also has shirts, iPod covers, and stuffed animals. The game also got a funny joke told on 30 Rock by Aaron Sorkin. I have Angry Birds my self, but when you only have the free version you cant do that much so. But is the game good enough to have its own movie?
Marvel Studios chairman David Maisel is signing a deal with the games publisher Rovio to make a movie out of the popular wing- less birds.
Hear is what Maisel had to say- "There has been so much chatter about an ‘Angry Birds’ movie, but it’s now real. The process is starting now."
Rovio has already been smart enough to make a deal with Blue Sky Studios and Fox to put Angry Birds into the movie Rio, and to develop a Rio-branded version of the game. Rovio is also licensing the Birds like crazy, and wants to push into other media. Movies are one obvious avenue. There has been talk of a claymation version of the story — well, that’s inasmuch as there is a story. Given that the game features no characters and limits the voices of the birds to a few squawks and cries, there’s a lot of work to be done before this one is able to make the movie leap.

Jodelle Ferland and Alex Borstein Join "ParaNorman"

The new animated comedy thriller from the producers of Coraline will be called ParaNorman. A tale of an unusual boy named Norman (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who can communicate with the dead. When his hometown is attacked by zombies, he must use his gift to help break an ancient curse and save the town.
The cast expand more and more as Jodelle Ferland (Twilight: Eclips, Silent Hill) and Alex Borstein (Family Guy) have joined the film. Also did Tucker Albrizzi (I am Number Four) has joined.
This movie looks and hears weird. Looks like we have to see.

Behind Cars 2 the video game

Cars 2 released a new video on the new game. With some of the creative minds behind all the funny characters. This game looks fun, but I don't like games that are based on movies because you play through the whole movie. Like I bought Toy Story 3 the game and I passed all the levels in a day since there were only 8 levels. Check out the video below.

Brad Lewis leaves Pixar

Brad Lewis is well known for producing Ratatouille and being in Pixar for 10 years. He is also the co- director of this years Cars 2. Also was he apart of Dreamworks for 11 years as he produced Antz.
Anyway Lewis will be leaving Pixar to go work at a new film company created by Transformers director Micheal Bay called Digital Domain, a visual effects company that will use the same technology from Tron.
I cant believe that he would do that. Who would want to leave Pixar? Its the greatest place ever. I actually want to work at Pixar myself, although my friends think of me more as a Walt Disney Animation Studios kind of guy.

New "Brave" image

Pixar's Brave  released a new image to there new film that will be coming out next year. This movie looks amazing. I don't know why but this reminds me of Tangled only with less singing. Hears the description.
"It’s all about the relationship between a mother and daughter, and how this young woman has problems with her mother. When she has a problem with her mother over marriage, she gets a magic spell to try to stop her mother bothering her with the suitor business. But it actually changes her mother into a bear."
I cant wait tell this comes out.

Pizza Planet Truck to be seen on the road

The Pizza Planet Truck is well known for appearing in ever Pixar film to date. Now the team at Pixar will be making a replica of the truck in a documentary called The Road to Pixar. Hears what Marco Bongiorno had to say- The Road to Pixar is a full length documentary that will follow our crew as we go about building a full sized functioning replica of the Pizza Planet Truck. Originally we just wanted to build the truck to see how people would react when they saw it passing them on the road and whatnot. After a while it evolved into the project it is today, documenting the hilarity that goes along with driving around in the Pizza Planet Truck, while interviewing those who want to talk about how Pixar Films (specifically the Toy Story Trilogy) have effected their lives through anecdotes and comedic recreations.

Toy Story 4?

Tom Hanks was interviewed on BBC when they asked him about another Toy Story. Hanks then said- "I think there will be, yeah, yeah, I think they're working on it now."
I can't believe that Pixar would do this. There going to ruin a rare perfect ending to the greatest sequel of all time. What are they gonna do now make, Bonnie a little brat and throw the toys away?
